American Idol and David Cook

Spent last night with some of David Cooks friends at a watch party.  It was fun to watch their responses as David Cook was announced the 2008 American Idol.  Most of the group almost cried.  It was a cool moment to see friends who were glad for a close friend who had achieved a life goal.  As I was watching this I started asking questions like, why don't people get this excited about their Faith in Christ?  Just a question, don't get mad, I'm just asking a question.  I know being the American Idol is more exciting than the day to day work of Faith in Christ.  I believe that what is occurring with American Idol is Amazing.  I also believe that what is happening with people's faith could be very Amazing if we would take serious our Faith like we do American Idol.  Think about that today.  Oh, I doubt David Cook will read my blog but if he does here goes my two seconds of fame: "David, Great Job, well done.  If you are ever in Kansas City Missouri, please come to LifeQuest and do a concert.  Seriously if you read this David Cook or someone shows this to you, the most important thing you could do in life is Center your LIFE around Jesus Christ and His will for your life.
