Most of us don't need new information. We don't need to buy another book or read another blog. We just need to DO what we already know. "If you would just do what you already knew". While all along we are thinking if we just knew a little more or had a little more Bible knowledge we would fall in love with Jesus more. Then our lives would be so much better off. That kind of thinking is a lie. Let me give you an example to prove my point. I know that I need to lose a little more weight. What do I need to do??? First, here's what I don't need to do. I don't need to read a book on losing weight. I don't need to go to weight watchers or slim 4 life. What do I need to do? I need to do what I already know, I need to watch what I eat and how much I eat. I need to exercise regularly. I need to not drink a bunch of sugar and stuff that is just going to go right to my belly and stick there.
What are you wanting to change this next year? I know what you are thinking. You are thinking you need to make a new commitment, go to a seminar that will teach you how to manage your time or you need a new daily planner written by none other than Steven Covey. NO! NO! NO! All you need to do in the beginning is what you already know.
If we do what we already knew we would be dangerous! What do you think about that phrase???
