Sunday Night Mind Dump

I can't remember a worship experience that had the impact that today had.  To say I am overwhelmed would be an understatement.  Here's some quick hits about today:
  • I preached on leaving a legacy and talked about Moses and the legacy he left.
  • We brought a coffin in during the intro video and everyone thought I was in it.
  • But to everyone's surprise I wasn't and as I started preaching Pastor Matt one of our associate Pastors came out of the casket.  You will have to get a DVD or check it out online to see what happened exactly.
  • The message hit home with a ton of people about my grandmother, truth is I really wanted her to be there today but wasn't able to make that happen due to her health.
  • The music was really good, did a hymn today which really rocked - The Old Rugged Cross.
  • The closing song "One life to Love" by 33 Miles was off the chain - I think you could have heard a pin drop, everyone was so focused on what the song was about.
  • We introduced how we as a church are going to start making a lasting impact this Christmas with a series entitled "REthink Christmas" and as a part of that series we are:
  • Going to feed and clothe two housing editions in the area.
  • I introduced Craig White with Oak Hill Development and he is SO Excited about partnering with us on this outreach project.  More on this project this coming Sunday.
  • Saturday night the children's ministry sponsored a Kidz Fallfest and it actually turned out really good.  I was worried in the beginning but Lacey and her team pulled it off.
  • I am in Waco Texas for a couple of days at a church planters conference so it is time for bed.
