Sunday Night Mind Dump

I love Christmas Time!  The only thing I despise is the pace of life as a pastor.  As a church we believe this is the most opportune time to reach people that are far from God.  SO we are busier than ever trying to pull off outreaches at both campuses and not to mention our Christmas Eve Celebrations.

Today was a great day for LifeQuest.  It was part 3 in our Presence-ReThinking Christmas series.  I preached on the Power of the Presence of God.  I believe the story we look at is a powerful story of how one woman stepped out by faith and touch Jesus and was Healed.

I preached live at the Southland Campus in Belton and then drove to our Northland campus to preach live.  There were 40 families that signed up to recieve a meal and several of them showed up for the worship experience.  One guy pulled me aside after the service and explained how today was the biggest blessing to him because he was thinking of taking his life last week.  I prayed with him and as he picked up his groceries and walked away, it hit me.  This is why we do what we do.  For those that are lost and with out hope.

Then Fox 4 News showed up and interview me on what we are doing for the needy this Christmas season.  I honestly didn't expect the media to show up but was excited to get the message out to K.C.  In the interview I said The Church is the Hope of the World!!!   I don't know if they will air that part of the interview but we will see.

I am turning my thoughts toward Christmas Eve Celebrations so I need to run.
