This week marks the six year celebration of our baby, Caden, who isn't a baby anymore. Ask him and he'll tell you he's a BIG boy. Wow, how 6 years flies by. We are making the whole week a celebration and I can't wait. I love my boys and wife and am so amazed at how God has chosen to bless me.
As I think about the past 6 years, they are filled with joys, sorrows and lots of lessons. I have been making a list of lessons that I have learned. What about you? What have you learned in life, parenting, ministry, marriage and your job in the last 6 years that you could share?

With the loss of both my mom and my father in law (who lived with us and I took care of him) from lung cancer, I have learned to make sure you live each day to its fullest. Don't wait to tell those you care about how you feel about them and how much you appreciate them. And most importantly, don't be like Scarlet O'Hara, and "think about that tomorrow.". We are not promised tomorrow! My kids godmother shared a video clip from Penn Gillette (from Penn and Teller) who shared a story that really hit home and made me realize that esp. when it comes to our faith in Jesus that a lot of times Christians keep our thoughts hidden. We need to show the people we come across as well as our loved ones that we love them enough to care about their eternal resting place.
