Jesus and His Final Week

I was doing some reflecting this morning on the cross and how it changes everything. This week is what is referred to as the Final Week. As I read about Jesus and His Final week, I began to wonder what it would be like to know that this is your last week. What would I do? Who would I meet with? What would I say? Then I realized that Jesus had come for a mission and His mission had been completed.

I am asking all of my blog readers to please take some time and read about Jesus and His final week and reflect on it. Let it sink in and don't just race past what He came to do for you and I.

Moses and Leadership

I am currently reading and studying the life of Moses.  Here's something God spoke to me about through His Word!

Exodus 2 Moses was born into some very unfortunate circumstances.

Exodus 3:3 Moses TURNED ASIDE to look at the burning bush. Why because he wanted to see this great sight.

When you think about your life and how you were raised, do you ever wish you were born in different circumstances? Do you ever begin to despise the way you were raised and the quality of home life you had? I know for me, that when I read the life of Moses, I am blown away at how God used a young man that had all, I mean ALL the odds stacked against him. There are some of you that need to stop comparing yourself to others and start thanking God for who He made you to be. My friend Ed Young Jr. says, "U B U". I am learning to be comfortable with who I am. Then more I am myself, the more God uses me.

Exodus 3:7 The Lord was going Egypt to deliver the people from their taskmasters. What taskmasters do I have in my life? God cares!!!!
Now here is the part that rocked my world. The Lord was going to deliver the children of Israel from what? Their taskmasters. That is what God was going to rescue them from. God spoke to me and said, "What is your taskmaster?" I know that all of us have different taskmasters. The taskmaster of debt, pornography, laziness, gossip, addictions, over eating, anger. What is your taskmaster and when will you begin to deal with it???

If I am a leader and I don't deal with my taskmaster, then I will eventually be mastered by it.

God is Rocking my World

Last week as I was flying to Waco Texas I was reading through Malachi and couldn't make it through chapter 1.  God spoke through His Word to me.   Here's what I learned.  Some of it is messy and I shared it with some men I meet with on Friday mornings at 6am and I think it had the same affect on them as it had on me.

Malachi 1:2  God's loves me more than I could ever imagine!  I am so Thankful for that.

Malachi 1:6  God is not only my Heavenly Father but He is my Master.
Now let me ask you a question, when was the last time you looked at God as your Master and you as His servant?  Here's some thoughts that came to mind:  A servant would not wake up and go to his master with a list of requests.  A servant would go to his Master and ask what can I do for you.

When I only look at God as my Heavenly Father I will be tempted to take Him for granted.

I want to see God for who He truely is.  Do you see God for who He truely is?  King of Kings?  Lord of Lords?  Forgiver?  Saviour?  Master?  Prince of Peace?  Everlasting Father?  The Beginning and the End - OH I am preaching now.  Ask God right now to help you see Him for who He really is.  Go through the Scriptures and write down the verse for who God is.

The next thing that Rocked me was when God asked why do you bring crippled, blemished lambs to me.  Would you bring them to your governor?

Here's the question we all left with this morning - What is your crippled, blemished lamb and what is your best.

Looking forward to the journey through Malachi - break open  your Bible today and check it out.  Let's journey together.
